Context
Mark Antony is one of the triumvir governing Rome, along with Caesar and Lepidus. He has recently married Caesar鈥檚 sister, Octavia, in a bid to reconcile the two men and restore their committed leadership of Rome. However, Antony has just discovered that, in his absence, Caesar has declared war on Pompey and imprisoned Lepidus. Antony is furious and vents to Octavia. She tries to be the peacemaker, caught between the two men and loving them both.
