Context
The three men are in the university rooms of English academic Philip. He and his friend and fellow lecturer, Don, are in the midst of giving feedback on a play written by wanna be playwright, John. John is a student at the university and intense in his theatrical aspirations. He does not take kindly to the feedback, even when it is kindly meant, and contorts everything Philip says into a criticism.
