Context
Rudge is studying for the Oxford and Cambridge entrance exams and interviews. He is not the brightest of the boys, but he is hardworking and studious. He has stayed behind after class to carry on working, and Mrs. Lintott takes advantage of him being alone. She is intrigued to know how the boys are finding their new teacher, Mr. Irwin. Answering honestly, Rudge highlights the differences between Hector鈥檚 and Irwin鈥檚 teaching methods.
