Context
Mackenzie is six and a half months pregnant. Her colleagues, Malcolm and Diane, are putting pressure on her to reveal the true identity of her baby's father, as they realize the father is connected to their small internet start-up business. For the business' founder, this connection may well be crucial. However, for Malcolm, the news is devastating as he is Mackenzie's ex boyfriend. He still wants her back, and cannot stand to hear about her being involved with a client.

DIANE Who is it?
MCKENZIE It doesn鈥檛 matter.
DIANE If it鈥檚 one of our competitors, it matters.
MCKENZIE It鈥檚 not. And it鈥檚 none of your business.
DIANE It happened on company time. Is it one of our clients?
MCKENZIE No.
DIANE Well, everyone at DevCon who isn鈥檛 a client is a competitor.
MALCOLM Motherf#&ker.
Malcolm paces away in a sudden rage.
MALCOLM (cont鈥檇) F#&king A!
(he wheels around on McKenzie)
It鈥檚 David f#&king Tobenowski.
McKenzie looks away.
DIANE Is that why we got the DomicIsle deal?
MCKENZIE No. Not entirely.
MALCOLM (to Diane) Wow, I guess you really have found yourself someone who will do anything for the company...
MCKENZIE It was something that developed over our pitch meetings and lunches and... I really didn鈥檛 expect it, Malcolm. And then when I saw him in San Francisco, something just... happened.
DIANE And a week later he signed with us to be their primary partner for entryways and entryway needs. It鈥檚 like an eighteen year contract!
Diane puts her hand up to McKenzie鈥檚 belly.
DIANE (cont鈥檇) High five!
MALCOLM Well, I鈥檓 glad this is working out so well for the both of you.
