After surviving the Ludlow Massacre Mother Jones has been summoned to a union meeting hall in Denver, Colorado. Traveling by train, she arrives and finds herself ambushed by the president of her own union, the United Mine Workers of America. The union president has brought their legal counsel, Clarence Darrow to the meeting and their goal is to force her out because she has issued a call to arms demanding all union members pick up guns and come to Colorado to exact retribution for their fallen
