Periplectomenus is the neighbor of Pyrgopolynices, an arrogant soldier. Pyrgopolynices kidnapped Philocomasium, a young Athenian woman and lover of Pleusicles. Periplectomenus is sheltering Pleusicles at his house so the young lovers can secretly see each other.
