Ad executive Waverly is on a blind date with nervous bookstore manager Andrew on the evening after the 9/11 attacks. Waverly has been anxiously trying to get in touch with her twin sister Wendy, who lives in New York City. She鈥檚 just gotten a call from her great-aunt, writer Joyce Carol Oates, who is on her way over.
