Context
Inspector Craddock has come to the village of Chipping Cleghorn, where a murder has taken place in the home of Miss Blacklock. An intruder--Rudi Scherz--was shot in the dark and Craddock must find the murderer. He believes that Miss Blacklock is not safe and he has done some digging around about her past. He forces her to reluctantly think about who will inherit her house and money when he dies. Miss Blacklock dislikes his line of questioning and refuses to believe that she is worth murdering.

START: CRADDOCK: Sit down, please, Miss Blacklock.
MISS BLACKLOCK: (nervously) Yes�
CRADDOCK: I think it’s cards on the table time.
MISS BLACKLOCK: (warily) I don’t understand, Inspector.
CRADDOCK: I think you do.
