Context
Brindsley is set to be engaged to Carol if all goes well at tonight's dinner and showing of Brindsley鈥檚 sculptures. However, Brindsley is still seeing Clea, another artist who is devoted to and in love with Brindsley as well. When Clea discovers that Brindsley is juggling two women at the same time, she very quickly exposes him leaving him in a whirlwind of panic and frustration.

BRINDSLEY: Thank you, Clea. Thank you very much.
CLEA: Any time.
BRINDSLEY: You had no right.
CLEA: No?
BRINDSLEY: You walked out on me.

CLEA: You did!
BRINDSLEY: Of course I didn't. You invented that ten minutes ago, when you were playing Mrs. Punnet.
CLEA: I - Oh! So I did!
[They both giggle. She falls happily against his shoulder.]
BRINDSLEY: You know something - I'm not sure she's not right.
