Context
Henry has brought Eric to see his house in upstate New York, which used to belong to his late partner, Walter. Eric heard all about the house from Walter before he died and knows that it was here that Walter cared for many men suffering from AIDS in their final days. Prior to Henry鈥檚 entrance (at the end of Part One), Eric saw the ghosts of these men and felt their presence. However, Henry firmly believes that ghosts don鈥檛 exist. Instead, he takes Eric by surprise with a marriage proposal.
