Context
Medea and Hason have been entertaining Hason鈥檚 boss, Armida, at their home. Armida asks for a moment to speak to Medea privately, and the two of them share a loaded exchange in which Armida both makes Medea offers of business opportunities, and questions her commitment to Hason and his dreams. Armida reveals that she knows that Hason and Medea are not legally married, a thing which is essential to her plans to marry Hason herself and adopt Acan.
