Context
The Child and Bartholomew are on their quest to retrieve the Child's crown from the Witch. Along the way, they encounter several (supposedly) threatening obstacles placed in their way. At this point, they come face to face with a giant...but he's not really into his job. He's bored, jaded, and fed up of being stereotyped.

(BARTHOLOMEW screams. Before them is a huge, horrifying-looking giant. The giant is reading a newspaper, bored.)
GIANT (without feeling)
Who dares trespass across my property? I shall eat you and grind your bones, yadda yadda. I’m gonna get you, etc. Murder you, probably, if you don’t leave.
BARTHOLOMEW
Well, on our way then! (Grabs CHILD in an attempt to exit)
