I don鈥檛 see how we make it out of this. Not the plague, there鈥檒l be people who make it out alive, but more often than not I think that no one鈥檚 going to make it out of climate change alive. I have nightmares every night. That I鈥檓 in a forest as it burns, or a whirlpool as dead polar bears swirl around me. Some days I can鈥檛 get out of bed. I wonder if it鈥檚 worth being alive. But then my kids come into my bedroom, and they serve me breakfast in bed. Nothing fancy, just the most scrambled eggs you ever saw and some pancakes. And they and my husband hug me, and I hug back, and then I go about my day. No matter how dark I think it鈥檚 going to get, and believe me, it will get dark, there鈥檚 no way I鈥檓 giving up. Not when I鈥檝e got people counting on me. Take care, Chuck.
